Sanket S., game developer (you may also know the work as Sanvar Studio or playableShop). Ten-plus years building interactive HTML5 work, with the last several focused on playable ads and the surfaces around them.

Career arc

I started in HTML5 game development, building browser-based 2D and 3D games for casual portals and branded microsites. When the ad industry pivoted from static and video toward interactive formats, that same skill set carried straight into playable ads. Since then the work has widened to cover kiosk experiences for retail floors and trade-show booths, 3D web games in Three.js, the occasional mobile app, a steady run of reward and skill-based games for Shopify stores, and games for newer surfaces like YouTube Playables, Discord, Reddit, and Telegram.

What I ship

Thirty-seven projects shipped across five surfaces:

  • Twenty playable ads, built for Facebook Instant Experience, Google Ads UAC, AppLovin, Unity Ads, Mintegral, IronSource, Vungle, and Moloco. Brands include Truecaller, DragonVale, SplashLearn, Migros, Sprite, Kiddopia, and Happn.
  • Eight HTML5 games across branded microsites and casual gaming portals.
  • Three kiosk installations, including Linen Chest (retail spin-to-win) and Alps Blockchain (BTC Las Vegas 2025).
  • Four 3D web games in Three.js and WebGL, including a branded racer for Splenda.
  • Two mobile app builds.

How I work

Solo, and end-to-end: from concept to build to a network-ready bundle. Weekly client check-ins, with milestone demos every couple of days on short projects. I take briefs from agencies, in-house ad teams, and direct brands. I don't run a studio, so when a project needs extra hands for art, copy, or motion, I bring in trusted partners I've worked with before and surface those costs cleanly in the spec.

Tooling

  • Game engines: Cocos Creator, Phaser 3, PixiJS, Three.js, Babylon.js, vanilla JS canvas/WebGL.
  • Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, primary. Swift / Kotlin for native mobile when called for.
  • Ad-format standards: MRAID 2.0 / 3.0, IAB specs, network-specific build templates (Mintegral, IronSource, AppLovin).
  • Asset pipelines: Spine, DragonBones, Lottie for character animation. Basis Universal / KTX2 for 3D textures. AVIF / WebP for delivery.
